Aberdeen Marine Mammal Project

Welcome

The Aberdeen Marine Mammal Project (AMMP) is a scientific research programme coordinated by Dr Sarah Marley at Scotland's Rural College (SRUC). The project aims to better understand the ecology and behaviour of marine mammals using the waters around the Aberdeenshire coastline in north-east Scotland.

This area is used by a number of whales, dolphins, porpoises, and seals. By studying patterns of animal occurrence, habitat-use, behaviour, and interactions with human activities, we hope to better inform conservation and management strategies.
